Its that time again when I get to share with you my latest make as an Island Batik ambassador, This month was all about trying a new tool and that tool being a Studio 180 Design ruler by the fab Deb Tucker. The ruler is very well labelled and comes with a very helpful information insert showing you fabric requirements and step by step instructions to cut every piece you need for the block easily. The brief this month was to create a quilt using the primary block design, I decided to go quite uniform with my fabrics and just adding a few pops of colour to add a little more interest, the fabrics I used are Grey, White and Black from the solids line, Mustard, Bluebird, Fern Leaves and Lemonade from the basics line. I hope you are all staying safe! Welcome to my October Ambassador challenge. Enjoy the tutorial below and let us know in the comments if you plan on putting this quilt on your to-sew list! Now all that was left for me to do was to get gifting! I made sure to flip the unicorn, mane, and tale when tracing to make sure they were all in the right facing direction when appliquéing the shapes to the mini quilt.
